• Email address — collected via Google Sign-In and used solely to attribute your contributions to your account.
• Display name — collected via Google Sign-In for the same purpose.
• Translations you contribute — any English-to-Darija translations you submit are stored in our database to improve the shared dataset.

If you use the extension without logging in, no personal data is collected. Translation lookups are performed locally using a bundled dictionary and no data is sent to any server.

2. How we use your data

We use the data we collect exclusively for the following purposes:

• To attribute crowdsourced translations to the correct contributor
• To maintain the quality and integrity of the translation dataset
• To allow administrators to review and moderate contributions

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's translation functionality.

3. How we store your data

Your data is stored securely in Google Firestore, a cloud database provided by Google. Your login state is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API and is never transmitted to any third party.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your email address is visible only to the extension administrator for moderation purposes and is never displayed publicly.

The only third-party service we use is Google Firebase / Firestore for database storage and authentication, which is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Your data is retained for as long as you have an active account or until you request deletion. To request deletion of your data, please contact us at the email below and we will remove your contributions and account information within 30 days.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you

• Withdraw your consent by simply not logging in or uninstalling the extension

7. Children's privacy

Darija Translator is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
